	FLORENCE Y'ALLS GENERAL STORE SIGN: KNOCKED OUT OF THE PARK
	Florence Y'alls are a professional baseball team in Florence, Kentucky, playing in the Frontier League, an independent minor league. The team plays at Thomas More Stadium. The Y'alls emphasize being a family-friendly and community-oriented team, hosting various events and promotions throughout the season.
	Every ballpark needs a dedicated team shop and the Florence Y'alls General Store is no exception. As the team's sole retail location, it called for an approach that delivered both impact and attention to detail.

	CONSIDERATIONS
	When choosing the best material for this project, several key factors guided our decision: The client specifically requested that no drilling be done into the existing brick and mortar facade. Since the signage is installed outdoors, it needed to withstand varying and intense weather conditions. The material had to conform closely to the textured surface to prevent moisture intrusion, which could compromise the adhesive over time. Durability was essential, the sign needed to hold up for multiple seasons to serve the Florence Y'alls effectively.

	THE SOLUTION
	We chose a 3M graphic film specifically engineered for textured surfaces, paired with a gloss laminate. The material is thin and flexible enough to adhere securely to substrates like brick, stucco and cinder block, while the gloss finish protects the print and delivers a vibrant, wet-paint appearance that shines in sunlight. To minimize visible seams, we opted for a less common horizontal paneling layout (see diagram left). While this configuration offered a cleaner visual result, it introduced additional installation complexity. Fortunately, with skilled professionals and a pair of lift trucks on site, the final execution was a home run.

	END RESULT
	All the thoughtful planning and attention to detail came together to create a bold, standout storefront, one that proudly represents the Florence Y'alls Official General Store.
